How fresh the listings are

Every dealer page is re-read about once a day. A listing that disappears from the dealer is retired within three days. The New badge marks the first 48 hours in the index.

The crawler runs continuously and re-reads each dealer's vehicle pages roughly once a day, using conditional requests so an unchanged page costs the dealer almost nothing. The "last seen" dot on a listing page tells you when we last confirmed it on the dealer's site.

New listings

A listing carries the New badge for 48 hours after we first see it. The home page's "Just listed" row and the newest-first sort are the fastest way to see what came in today.

Sold or removed cars

When a dealer removes a page, we notice on the next pass and retire the listing within about three days. Retired listings drop out of search; a saved car that was retired is shown dimmed with a note, so you know it is gone rather than wondering.

Prices

Prices are the dealer's advertised price at the time we last read the page, and can change without notice. Confirm with the dealer before you drive over. Dealer placeholder prices (a $1 or $999 "call for price") are shown as Call for price rather than as a bargain.
