What is in the index, and what is not

Everylot indexes used and certified pre-owned vehicles from dealer websites that allow crawling. Marketplaces and private-party sites are not indexed; every results page links to them instead.

Dealers publish their inventory on their own websites with the same structured data they publish for Google. Everylot reads those pages the way a search engine does, keeps the facts, and links every result to the dealer's own page. Coverage grows as dealer sites are added; the home page shows the current count of listings and dealers.

Not indexed

Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, Autotrader, CarGurus, Cars.com, Carvana and CarMax are not indexed. Their terms do not allow it, and Marketplace requires an account to search at all. Instead, the bottom of every results page has an "Also check" row: each link opens that site's own search with your filters already applied. Nothing is fetched from those sites.

Dealer sites that are missing

A dealer site is skipped when it blocks crawlers, has no sitemap, or publishes no vehicle data on its pages. The index is honest rather than complete. If you are a dealer and want in, see Getting listed.

What we keep from a listing

Year, make, model, trim, price, mileage, transmission, drivetrain, fuel, colors, VIN, dealer name, city, state and phone, the address of the listing page, and the addresses of its photos. Listing descriptions and other page text are not stored. Every vehicle picture on Everylot is an illustration of the car's year, make, model and color, generated from those facts; no dealer photo is fetched or shown, and the listing page links to the dealer for real photos.
